Most of the sleeping bags are filled with either down feather (goose or duck’s small feather) or with fiber. The bags filled with down are heavy, bit expensive, do not dry quickly but are very warm. Whereas bags filled with fiber are light, cheap, and dry quickly so are perfect for boating trips and hiking trips.
Shape of the bag matters when it comes to comfort. Mummy bags are round at legs and aren’t quite comfortable but they are very warm. The square bags are warm and free at the hind limbs area are very comfortable. Or you can choose the double bag if you want a comfortable sleeping space.
Other features you might consider are zipper, lining or accessory pockets. The bags have double zipper are easy to open and are very comfortable. Accessory pockets can come handy if they are placed in right position.
